FAIR TRADE CERTIFIED
Fair trade, defined simply, is when producers in developing countries are paid a fair price for their work, by companies in developed countries.
It’s when the price we pay for products gives enough to producers for them to afford life’s essentials such as food, education and healthcare.
The Fair trade standards are designed to reduce poverty for farmers and workers in developing countries, improve employment conditions by improving their skills & working conditions, protect the rights of workers, provide community development funds to empower and improve their communities, and protect the local environment so its resources will be there for future generations.
