This founding member grows grapes for the cooperative's winemaking families rather than bottling wine under an own label.
Carlos is a founding partner of the Red del Vino (6th region)
His parents were merchants and when he was 18, his father passed away, leaving him in charge of his family. As the oldest of seven siblings, he had to work hard to help his mother.
Later, he and his brother were able to purchase a remote plot of land so when the Agrarian Land Reform took place, they sold it and bought the rights of two other plots closer to their homes. They primarily planted corn and rice and then in 1998 began to plant vineyards due to the boom In the area.
Today he works with two of his brothers.
